Michigan freshman wing Winters Grady is headed to the transfer portal. The news was first reported by VerbalCommits,
Grady was a top-100 prospect who struggled to crack the rotation in his first semester in Ann Arbor. He saw time in nine games, knocking down 6-of-19 3-pointers in 50 minutes of game action.
Grady last played on January 2nd against USC before he was shut down due to a foot injury. He’s expected to be in line for a medical redshirt and will have four years of eligibility at his next stop.
Grady’s path to playing time this season was largely blocked by an experienced and talented wing group that includes Roddy Gayle Jr., Nimari Burnett and five-star freshman Trey McKenney.
Grady was a four-star prospect and initially picked Michigan over Oregon, Iowa, New Mexico, USC, and others.

Best of luck. Would like to see him follow Joyner to Oregon State. I’d like to see Joyner do well out there
