Sorry for the duplicate, just the first 2/3 of the interview, paraphrasing from memory of course (honestly not a negative word toward us, just absolute player bashing just like last year):
Cronin, worst defensive FG% in the second half of my career, trust me I don’t have to look it up, and trust me, I haven’t forgotten how to coach defense. Player shaming as usual.
I’m searching for guys who will play for the team, buddy, not for stats.
We’ve got some guys that are conscientous objectors … to defense…

I watched this live!!! Never have done that before and it was remarkable in person!!

Izzo and Cronin get similarly grumpy, but there’s just some subtle differences in their style to where I get the sense that Mick is being pretty honest while being a cranky a-hole and Izzo is putting on a petulant adult temper tantrum. Maybe it’s just that it’s a rivalry game for Izzo, but Mick was able to actually acknowledge the challenge that playing Michigan represents without throwing an “I guess” on to the end of everything.
