2025-26 Season

Bracket Watch: March 10th, 2026

Hello, friends. Welcome to Championship Week.

I’m writing from a hotel room in Seattle, about as far away from the Big Ten Tournament as one could possibly be in the Lower 48. But mentally, I will be spending this week in the Midwest with many of you. Maryland, Oregon, Penn State, and Northwestern get the festivities started in Chicago this evening, and then tomorrow morning, the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee convenes in Indianapolis to select, seed, and bracket the field of 68.

Michigan’s NCAA Tournament projection cone has narrowed to the very top of the seed list, and on Selection Sunday, depending on how this week goes, U-M will hear its name called either first, second, or third overall. The Wolverines have been a lock to dance since late January. The Wolverines have been a lock to get a 1 seed since late February. And after adding two more elite wins to its team sheet in the final week of the regular season against Iowa and Michigan State, Michigan is locked into the Midwest Region, even with a Friday exit from the BTT. All that’s left now is for Michigan to go compete for a second banner and find out who and where it’ll play the weekend after next.

This week marks the beginning of the greatest crescendo in all of sports, and the Michigan Wolverines are ready for their spotlight.
