Around three weeks removed from winning the National Championship, Michigan coach Dusty May spoke with reporters Wednesday on a few key Wolverines’ decisions to return, Michigan’s portal acquisitions, the implications of the new 5-in-5 rule and more.
Latest on NBA Draft decisions
Johnson and Mara’s respective decisions to stay with Michigan or leave for the NBA has been a storyline that’s only gained more steam since the Wolverines cut down the nets. Wednesday, May declined to give much insight into either of the two’s decisions.
“I think Morez and Aday are gauging the interest of the NBA,” May said. “I mean, with the way they played, they position themselves into having a very, very difficult decision. But we get feedback from the NBA daily. We talk to their agents, we talk to them, and so I’d rather not comment on those guys. Let them comment on whatever their futures hold.”
