Elliot Cadeau announces plans to stay at Michigan

Elliot Cadeau plans to stay at Michigan following Dusty May’s departure, he announced tonight.

Cadeau was one of the best point guards in the country last season, averaging 10.5 points, 5.9 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game. He also earned Most Outstanding Player honors in the Final Four, helping Michigan to its first National Championship since 1989.

Fellow guard Trey McKenney also announced his plans to return on Monday, tweeting “Victors always stay #HA1L #GoBlue”.

The Wolverines are rebuilding around interim head coach Mike Boynton Jr. after Dusty May’s departure for the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. The transfer portal will open to Michigan players for a 15-day period beginning 31 days after May’s departure, or 5 days after a permanent head coach is announced.
