J.P. Estrella reacts to exhibition win over Eastern Michigan

Honestly, the guys and Coach B. I mean, we got in the meet after the meeting with Dusty and the team, we kind of, me and Coach B, we got together, we talked about it and it was all just positive things and all the same things that me and Dusty were talking about. And I feel like that's, it was super important to me that it was going to be the same thing.

And honestly, the players staying really made it easy for me because I mean, I loved playing with them even though we didn't play that much. It just made sense. Just when we were all playing pickup, like I was just loving it. I was falling in love with basketball again and I just enjoyed Be around the guys. That was really the main reason why I knew I was staying.

Just how well, like, you just get to do a little bit of everything and you gain confidence. I think the biggest thing for me when I hit the portal was trying to gain my confidence back. And I feel like I really am starting to get that back. And just talking to them, they're talking about the development as well.

Just being able to play on the perimeter a little bit more, being able to showcase other abilities. I feel like that just really stood out here and just showing how well they did with the bigs. It just really just— it's really flashy for bigs when they hit the portal. What has it been like

The only thing I remember is just losing by 30. Honestly, that was— it was awful. But I mean, honestly, just coming out that game, just— I mean, personally, when I hit the portal, just thinking back to that game, thinking how well their bigs affected the game, how quick they played, how unselfish they were. It was really just not about me, me, me.

It was about the whole team, which I thought like really like inspired me. And I guess it had a little bit of a decision on that. But I mean, I wasn't really thinking at the time that I was going to leave after the game. But when I had to pour that, it made a lot of sense. Yeah.
