Q1 Aday Mara's late-game impact
Had a couple free throws and then had that alley-oop kind of with 5 minutes to go, kind of set the tone for the rest of the game.
Man, Aday Mara is a cheat code. I feel the pain in practices, you know, not being able to know what to do, especially defensively. His ability to alter shots and being able to block them, and then he's a mismatch problem as far as ball screen coverages and being just a lob the threat that he is, it's not really much you can do to guard him.
And when he's like really locked in, keeping his composure, I think he's definitely the best player in the country.
Q2 Defensive stops building momentum
And especially defensively, when you guys are missing a couple free throws down the stretch, how important is getting stops and being able to build momentum through defense?
Stops is tremendously important. Be able to kind of get out and run. I think that's where our offense kind of fuels off our defense, to be able to get stops and getting on the run, like off offensive rebounds, limiting teams to one shot, being able to rebound and get out and run.
