Q1 Why he chose Michigan
May, what did he say to you to get you to come to Michigan and share what this experience has been like to play with this team this season?
He didn't, he didn't have to like say a lot. He was just by the year that they had last year, how he used the bigs. And like I was, when I started, when I went to the transfer portal, I was talking with more teams, but the only team that they were talking really good and they weren't saying anything bad about the coach was Dusty and Michigan.
So it was pretty easy to come here. Also, the confidence that he gave me since the first moment, those are the keys to coming here this year. I have in this year.
Q2 Comparing to Thanksgiving Vegas run
Do you feel like this team is back at that Thanksgiving level like you guys were playing in Vegas again?
I think for moments, yes. Last week we've been playing better, but I think our ceiling is much higher. We can go much better. So it's going to be— now we have tough games. Coming up, and it's going to be a war every single day. But we got to be focused and keep getting better and keep improving.
Q3 Focus with Purdue and Duke ahead
How do you— I mean, obviously, they're such big games. Of course, they're easy to focus on. But you guys are going to be the number 1 team in the nation on Monday. How do you wrap your mind around that with a big game against Purdue and then another one against Duke?
It feels really good. As you said, like, we have tough games now coming up, and we got to focus on that, on scout, on practicing, getting better. Our goal is not being number 1 in the country. Our goal is to win everything. So it's good to hear that we're also, like, the best defensive team in the country. It also feels really good, like, to hear that. But we got to be focused on what we want to do and where we're going to get. I
