Yaxel Lendeborg reacts to win at Michigan State

I was in like a stretch or two of maybe 4 or 5 games where I feel like I was letting my team down. So today was like a really good game just to get myself out of my head and start feeling myself a little more.

So many DMs I was getting from Michigan fans just begging win this game, you know, and it's like, you would think they're about to lose their life if we lose, you know, so it's like, I don't want to let those guys down, man, you know, and, you know, obviously I know about like the record between us. Since I committed here, I've been getting so much hate from Michigan State, you know, so I really needed this as well for like, you know, just to stick it to them and just show them that, you know, Michigan is real.

Coming from the UAB, is this about what you expected from Michigan State over here? No, man, this was way more than I thought, man, like, oh my gosh, before we came in, we were getting booed. I was in the locker room and I was hearing them boo us. Like, how did they know we were here?

You know, it's like, it was crazy, man. Like, I can never believe what I just played in. Like, it was super loud. Like, it got to the point where I'm not even hearing like crowd noise.

I'm just hearing like, like ruckus. I don't even know how to explain. Like, it just felt like they broke the sound barrier, you know?

it's amazing. It is amazing, man. Like, you know, obviously we weren't trying to do too much like smack talking, you know, we were just trying to keep our heads in the game. So at the end of the game, you know, we did a little one-two, but it wasn't nothing crazy, though.

We just, just tried to keep the main thing the main thing. Yeah, we felt like that we had the number. We gave up an easy dunk to Quinten Post. Our goal was to keep him off the rim like the entire game, so that one obviously didn't feel good.

But we all knew how tough it was going to be when they came back because they weren't just going to lay down for us, you know. So they gave us that haymaker and, you know, we kept jabbing back until we got, you know, back on our feet and got back to constantly. So it was a good recovery by us.
