Q8 Feeling the Big Ten intensity
I remember you telling us about that sitting back here talking about what people told you about the Big Ten. Now you're just about halfway through the league. Do you, like, can you feel it?
Yeah, definitely. I mean, I mean, the pressure is very, very high during these games, and, you know, these games are very intense, and you can feel it through the crowd. So I mean, the Big Ten is definitely different. How would you assess your play, particularly in the second half today?
I would say just, you know, trying to be, you know, a connector on the floor, you know, trying to do whatever the team needs me to do at that point, whether it's, you know, rebounding, scoring, you know. But I think I really did a good job of just being patient and, you know, letting the game come to me.
Q11 Mobley's impact and defending Thornton
The gravity of Mobley seems like it has a big impact on the defensive end. And then you just talk about that and then also the way you guys defended Thornton, kind of shut him down throughout the night.
Yeah, I mean, Mobley's really good. I mean, the ability to be able to shoot off the dribble from 3 and off the catch. I mean, not a lot can do that. So, I mean, he played a really good game tonight, and I think our attention to detail on Thornton was really good today. I think we, you know, held him down, and we needed that. So I think we really did a good job on defense in the second half.
Q12 Yaxel Lendeborg's calf injury recovery
Yaxel Lendeborg was a big piece of that defensive performance. He was saying he was 60, 70% when he first had his calf injury. How have you seen him handle that? And how good is it to see him get back to, you know, the way he finished the game tonight?
Yeah, I mean, you're definitely starting to see, you know, his pop more as he gets more healthy throughout these games. But I think he just, he pushed through that injury, you know, for the team. He knew we needed him. So I think it's very good to see him, you know, get back healthy and, you know, give these fans what they want. Quiet game for Bruce Thornton.
