Q1 Getting back to dominant form
Guess how to feel, how's it feel going back home and kind of getting back to, you know, a little bit of a dominant ways there?
Yeah, like you said, a little bit. It was glimpses of it. We saw that certain foot points and possessions of the game. And there's definitely a lot of areas we could be better defensively.
And that's been a huge emphasis for us going into every single game, but having that mindset and sometimes it's just pride. And I think we did a good job of that today. There's been times we did a great job of that throughout the season, but baby steps and we'll get back to where we need to be.
Q6 Shot clock pressure and turnovers
There were multiple possessions tonight where you guys took the shot clock all the way down in Indiana and it got you guys the ball back either in transition or just turnover-wise. Like, how energizing is that for you guys as an offense?
Oh no, it's so energizing, especially when we're just all connected on defense, talking, flying around. I mean, we have athletes on this team, so we're going everywhere on defense and talking and getting through screens. It's very, very hard to beat us. Do you feel like playing 44 minutes is still a work in progress for this team?
Yes, most definitely. I mean, we have a, you know, 20, 25-minute stretch out there. We were playing really, really good basketball. And I mean, that's also something that we're very mindful of and just staying consistent throughout the game.
Sometimes, you know, whether it's fatigue, I mean, I don't think fatigue is a big issue. Sometimes it's just focus. And so staying focused throughout those game period of time where we're up 20 and take that to 30.
Q10 Evolving role on a deeper roster
A little more season-wide, you've seen your minutes kind of drop off a little bit from last year. How has your role evolved with this new team kind of midway through the season now?
We're so deep, man. This team has so many talented guys and so did last year's team. But I mean, this team can go 10, 11 deep sometimes. So just being ready when my number is called and going out there and expending energy.
And sometimes I don't even want to play 30 minutes, like going out there for a hard 20, 25, whatever the case is. It's going out there and having fun, and that translates to the other guys, giving them energy when they come into the game. So it's all a, you know, revolving door, and guys feed off of each other.
