Q3 Whether defense was up to par
Do you think it was?
Oh no, I don't think our defense was up to par tonight. I think we had another level to reach, you know. We had a couple mental lapses, but can't do nothing about it now. I just got to keep on learning from it, getting better every day in practice.
Q11 Winning without shooting well
Dusty May was saying earlier this year that you guys aren't going to shoot it well every night, but on the nights you don't, he hopes you guys are tough enough to still find a way to win. How is it you guys have gotten to the point where you aren't shooting well yet winning by 30 against ranked teams?
Staying with it. Can't get too high or too low. I know y'all probably tired of me saying that, but, uh, just can't get too high or too low. You got to keep fighting, keep throwing punches. Eventually it'll go right.
Q17 Pride in defensive shooting percentage
You guys lead the nation in defensive shooting percentage, holding your opponents to like 36% or something like that. Is that what this team takes the most pride in on defense? Or is it something else?
We definitely take pride on defensive end. We know the offensive end, we can't really control that. Shots can go in, shots not go in, but we can definitely control our effort on the defensive end. Our talking, our physicality, communicating with each other, holding each other accountable, switching, being on your ex. Definitely take pride on defensive end.
