Q1 This year's group versus last

The group of guys you're around from last year compared to now, is there more lob threats? Is there any bit of a difference that you've seen in this group?

Definitely more lob threats. I think we're a bigger team than last year, even though we had Danny and Vlad. I think we're just bigger and we're more versatile. We have a lot of different lineups that we can throw out there and we just want to learn. No one talks back. Everyone wants to soak in all the information So I think, I mean, that's the recipe for success right there. Perfect.

Q4 Feeling ahead compared to last year

How much, how much further ahead do you feel now? I mean, you were here a year ago and everything kind of spinning.

I think I'm 100% ahead than last year. I think I know what expect, how to know what to expect to win. I know how hard it is to win a basketball game in the Big Ten. Every possession counts. So just being here for a year just gives me that advantage that others, like a freshman, doesn't have. Me coming in last year, that I didn't have. So I think I'm in a way better headspace than last year.

Q5 Role between point guard and scorer

And where do you see your role kind of fall on this team? Like Dusty May said, you're kind of juggling your future as his point guard but also trying to be a scorer, which is kind of your natural kind of tendencies. What roles are you most comfortable in with this roster?

I would say definitely, I mean, who I am, I'm a scorer. That's like my natural ability, but I think just being able to get in the paint at will is like who I am. That's my identity. It's just great for others, whether it's for me to score or for me to pass the ball.

I think me juggling is going to depend on the lineups, but I mean, I think that's what I succeed I've seen it in like my whole life. It's about like knowing which player to be at certain times throughout the games. So if I can just master that, I think I'll be just fine.
