Team 103

Game 3: Michigan at Villanova Recap

Villanova held onto some of its offensive flash from April’s title bout, but Michigan kept its defense and toughness instead.

After two or three early possessions on Wednesday night, it was clear which was more important in November. The Wolverines were more athletic and more aggressive. They set the tone and never relented.

Michigan looked like a team in search of revenge while the Wildcats were showing up for a coronation. The result was one of the top three most impressive road victories of John Beilein’s tenure at Michigan — 73-46 over a team that hadn’t lost by double digits in over 100 games.
