Former Iowa assistant coach LaVall Jordan appears to be the front runner to fill Mike Jackson’s vacated assistant coaching position.
- Most expect Michigan to move forward quickly with their assistant coaching search and it appears that they will. I’m hearing that former Iowa assistant LaVall Jordan will be the guy and it wouldn’t be surprising for this to be announced shortly. LaVall Jordan was an assistant coach at Butler from 2004-07 before following Coach Lickliter to Iowa. Jordan was headed to Western Michigan but it appears he’s headed to Ann Arbor before he was even announced in Kalamazoo. Bio here.
- JaVontae Hawkins is scheduled to make an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor this Friday (June 11th) where he will discuss a June 15th offer with Beilein. Hawkins is also taking an unofficial to Michigan State today and will be participating in Michigan and Iowa State’s Elite Camps. We should have an update with Hawkins later this week.
- It’s also worth noting that Travis Conlan’s name has been connected to Michigan’s open administrative assistant position
- It should come as no surprise but student season tickets are down significantly with only 687 sold to returning students.
- Manny Harris recently worked out with the Spurs.
