Nick Stauskas Picks Up A Michigan Offer

Joe got a hold of Canadian wing guard Nick Stauskas this afternoon and the 6-foot-5 2012 prospect confirmed that he has picked up offers from Michigan and Baylor. Stauskas hasn’t spoken with Michigan since the offer was made but his coach passed along the news. Stauskas has yet to trim his list to five schools but reiterated that Michigan is his favorite. He doesn’t have a visit date set in stone but is planning to make it to Ann Arbor in August.

Stauskas is a versatile wing scorer that has played very well this spring/summer with the Grassroots Canada AAU program. Joe spoke with Stauskas a couple weeks ago and you can read that interview for some more background on his recruitment. Stauskas is ranked 88th in Rivals’ most recent 2012 rankings. Oklahoma State (offer), Wake Forest, Pitt, Boston College, Florida State and Villanova are some of the other teams involved in Stauskas’ recruitment.

Stauskas will also be playing in the Canadian Flight Games event on Thursday July 29th in Toronto.
