Howard graduate transfer James Daniel III has set his official visits and he’ll travel to Michigan on May 29th.

Daniel was the leading scorer in Division I two years ago at Howard, but missed the majority of last season with an ankle injury.

The scoring point guard discussed his Michigan interest earlier this month.

“Coach (John) Beilein thinks I bring a lot to the table,” Daniel said. “He wanted me to be a leader: making great decisions, making shots, being that piece that takes this team to the national championship. I think I could be the guy to do that. I just want to be an extension of him on the floor.”

Here’s footage of Daniel in action that we had previously shared in our Patreon section.

Notably, Daniel’s visit is scheduled after the NBA Draft withdrawal deadline of May 24th. Michigan has two players testing the waters, DJ Wilson and Moritz Wagner, and is also evaluating a host of other graduate transfer options.
