Michigan extended a scholarship offer to Hunter Tyson today on his unofficial visit to Michigan.

“I was expecting it but when coach Beilein actually came out and offered me,” Tyson said of the offer. “It was exciting to realize that a top tier program with the success Michigan has had thinks I can make an impact in their program”
North Carolina native averaged 8.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game for Team CP3 this spring on the Nike EYBL circuit. He also averaged 25 points and 9.5 rebounds per game for Piedmont last season.
Michigan has 2018 commitments from David DeJulius, Taylor Currie and Brandon Johns with outstanding offers to Ignas Brazdeikis, Jerome Hunter, Noah Locke, Damezi Anderson and Race Thompson.
