Unconfirmed reports circled earlier this week that Charles Matthews had been invited to the NBA Draft Combine, but a recent report from Yahoo! Sports suggests that Matthews was not invited to Chicago.
Shams Charania reported the “complete 2018 NBA Draft Combine list that was sent to all 30 teams” on Friday afternoon and Matthews name is not listed. Moritz Wagner is listed as an attendee.
Matthews entered the NBA Draft without hiring an agent, which means he has until 10 days after the NBA Draft Combine to decide whether to return to school.
The NBA Draft Combine is held in Chicago from May 16th through 20th. The Yahoo! report lists 69 players as attendees and notes that DeAndre Ayton, Luka Doncic and Robert Williams will all be skipping the event.
