Five thoughts from Michigan’s first practice of 2018-19

We don’t know what Michigan will be in 2018-19, but we’ve seen more of this team before the calendar rolls into October than any other year.

The Wolverines have opened up the doors to parts of two practices and we watched them play three exhibition games in Spain. As practice tipped off on Tuesday evening at the Crisler Center, we saw the Wolverines with their head coach for the first time.

John Beilein was back on the court, in a slightly less vocal role, and coaching his team. The head coach spoke with the media before practice and then opened the doors to the first practice of the 2018-19 season. Here’s what we learned.
