Michigan opens the 2018-19 season tonight (8:30 p.m., BTN) against the Norfolk State Spartans (tickets).
The Spartans are picked to finish third in the MEAC and are aiming for a bounce back season after injuries plagued them early last year. Norfolk State didn’t win a Division I game until December 30th, but went on to finish 11-5 in the MEAC.
The Wolverines will be raising two more banners to the Crisler Center rafters before putting last year’s season in the past and starting on a new one. John Beilein doesn’t expect any changes to his starting lineup from the exhibition game and all eyes will be on how Michigan players adjust to their new roles.
