For the first time since he was fired by Northwestern in 2013, Michigan will face Bill Carmody and his Princeton offense on Saturday evening (7:30 p.m., BTN Plus, Tickets).
Carmody was hired by Holy Cross before the 2015-16 season and immediately took the Crusaders to the NCAA Tournament with a surprise run through the Patriot League conference tournament. Entering his fourth season in Worcester, Carmody also hasn’t posted a winning record — either in conference play or overall — during his tenure.
This year’s team could be his best yet and is picked to finish in the top half of the league. The Crusaders head to Ann Arbor after a 93-81 blowout win over Sacred Heart in which they scored 1.37 points per possession — their best offensive performance since Carmody arrived.
