Michigan hosts Air Force on Saturday evening (4:00 p.m., BTN) as the end of non-conference play inches closer to completion.
The Falcons are picked to finish near the bottom of the Mountain West this season and enter Saturday’s game with a 4-6 record. The resume includes wins over South Dakota, Missouri State, Denver and Johnson and Wales, but also losses to Texas State, UMBC, High Points, Colorado, Pacific and Army.
Air Force head coach Dave Pilipovich hasn’t finished better than .500 in MWC play during his six years in charge and this season looks to be another uphill battle. Pilipovich was a Michigan assistant coach under Tommy Amaker and his staff is loaded with connections to Michigan.
