Michigan will open the NCAA Tournament against the Montana Grizzlies. Again.
The Wolverines knocked off the Grizzlies in the first round of the NCAA Tournament last season, a 61-47 late night win in Wichita. Now they’ll run it back in 2019.
The Grizzlies won the Big Sky outright with a 16-4 conference record and outscored their conference opponents by 14.2 points per 100 possessions. Montana knocked off Sacramento State, Weber State, and Eastern Washington in the league tournament to punch their bid and earn a rematch against the Wolverines.
Here’s a first look at this year’s Montana team and how it compares to last year’s group on offense and defense.
