Candidate Breakdown: Juwan Howard

John Beilein is off to Cleveland after 12 years as Michigan’s head coach and the search for his replacement is underway.

Our first profile takes a closer look at Juwan Howard, who will reportedly interview for the job on Tuesday and has built a groundswell of public support from former players. 

Juwan Howard has emerged as one of the leading candidates for Michigan’s open head coaching position. The Miami Heat assistant has never been a head coach, but he played in the NBA for 19 seasons and has six years of coaching experience for one of the more respected front offices in the NBA.
