Changes to the NCAA rulebook brought a new look to summer basketball in June. College coaches were on the road over the weekend, but they were watching prospects with their high school teams.
Rather than open the doors to grassroots events, the NCAA created two weekends for events certified by state high school associations. While coaches largely seemed to like the format, the results were mixed. Some states were up to the task of organizing a great event and others dropped the ball.
