The July recruiting period kicks off with a new format this year as coaches have just one four-day window to attend grassroots events.
Coaches will be permitted to evaluate prospects Thursday through Sunday of this week at events across the country including the Nike Peach Jam (North Augusta, SC), Adidas Summer Championships (Birmingham, AL) and Under Armour Finals (Atlanta, GA). Coaches will be racing back-and-forth along a 300 mile stretch of I-20 with numerous non-shoe sponsored events also scattered throughout the area.
The evaluation period closes on Sunday and is followed by a dead period from July 15th through 22nd. Following the dead period, coaches can attend NCAA-organized camps from July 23rd through 28th along with the USA Basketball Junior National Team July Minicamp in Colorado Springs.
