Michigan opens the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis against Iowa State at Imperial Arena on Wednesday (noon, ESPN) afternoon in the Bahamas. The Wolverines are playing their most important game of the season to date in a converted resort ballroom as part of the best early-season tournament field in college basketball this season.
Based on KenPom rank, Wednesday’s opener pairs the 5th and 6th best teams in the event. Both teams lost significant portions of NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago but are still expected to be in the NCAA Tournament picture when March rolls around.
