Michigan at Louisville was supposed to be the undercard for ESPN’s Tuesday night slate of Big Ten-ACC Challenge games. Instead, it will pit No. 1 against No. 4 in one of college basketball’s highest-profile games since opening night.
The Wolverines are the hottest team in basketball after blowing through the loaded Battle 4 Atlantis field while the Cardinals have coasted to a 7-0 start with a relatively pedestrian schedule. In a season that is supposed to lack contenders, both Michigan and Louisville looked the part in November.
