2019-20 Season

Game 8: Michigan at Louisville Recap

In one of the most predictable spots on the schedule, Michigan’s offense bottomed out against No. 1 ranked Louisville in a 58-43 defeat.

A U-M team playing its fourth game in six days rolled into the KFC Yum! Center in front of 21,674 fans and was swallowed up by a vintage pack-line defense. The Wolverines scored 18 points in the first half and only managed .65 points per possession for the game, their third-worst offensive performance of the KenPom era.

Louisville shuttered Michigan’s ball screen offense, contained Zavier Simpson’s penetration, and forced the Wolverines into dozens of hopeful jump shots.
