It wasn’t a work of art, but Michigan handled business at home to send off Zavier Simpson and Jon Teske properly.
The Wolverines were facing a Nebraska team that didn’t have its point guard and best player, Cam Mack was suspended for the fourth time this season, and hadn’t won a game in nearly two months.
But the game still had to be played. Michigan forgot that at times in the first half, allowing an 11-2 lead to dwindle to one possession, but took care of business over the final 20 minutes.
Zavier Simpson finished with an 11-point, 10-assist double-double, Isaiah Livers shot his way out of his slump– 18 points on 18 shots — and Jon Teske, Franz Wagner, and Brandon Johns Jr. all reached double figures in the 82-58 victory.
