The postseason is here, what do we really know about Michigan?

Michigan opens the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday afternoon against Rutgers (noon, BTN), and Selection Sunday is just days away. With 31 games in the books, it feels like we should know everything there is to know about this Michigan team. Instead, we are trying to sort through the pieces and determine what will matter when the postseason begins.

Michigan is 19-12 (10-10) Big Ten and ranked 15th nationally by Ken Pomeroy. The Wolverines are one of a handful of teams ranked in the top-30 nationally in offensive and defensive efficiency, a designation that portends postseason success. Still, it is tough to predict what they’ll do on any given night.

What do we know about Michigan? How will the postseason play out? Here’s a look at where things stand heading into the most important stretch of the 2019-20 season.
