Michigan extended a scholarship offer to four-star point guard Carter Whitt on Wednesday night.
Whitt is ranked 72nd nationally, per 247 Sports Composite, and he holds offers from Wake Forest, Alabama, Arkansas, NC State, Virginia Tech and others.
Whitt is a pass-first point guard who is regarded as one of the better playmakers in the class. The 6-foot-3 point guard is transferring to Brewster Academy for the 2020-21 season.
The Wolverines have three commitments in the 2021 class — Isaiah Barnes, Kobe Bufkin and Will Tschetter — but clearly need a point guard in the class. They currently have offers outstanding to Whitt, Jalen Warley and Jaden Akins.
For our subscribers, here’s footage of Whitt in action last summer on the grassroots circuit.
