Early thoughts on the first week of Big Ten hoops

Big Ten basketball is underway across the Midwest, but it’s been a slow build. The league has spaced out conference games pretty significantly, which means we are still waiting for a traditional four or five-game day of league basketball. Ten teams in the league have already played a game, and every conference team should have multiple conference games in the book by the end of the week.

We’re only six games into Big Ten play, but we’re starting to have a better understanding of how the conference fits together. Here are some way-too-early thoughts on the league focused on Rutgers, Michigan State, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
