2020-21 Season

Game 10: Minnesota at Michigan Preview

Michigan welcomes Minnesota to the Crisler Center tonight (8:30 p.m., BTN) for a matchup of top-25 KenPom teams.

The Golden Gophers are 10-2 with impressive wins over Iowa, St. Louis, Ohio State and Michigan State but they’ve lost the only road games on the schedule (at Wisconsin and Illinois) by a combined 39 points. Richard Pitino’s team has exceeded expectations by finding the right transfers to put around Marcus Carr, the Big Ten’s best point guard. Minnesota starts three immediately eligible transfers — from Utah, Western Michigan and Drake — and all three have been valuable contributors.

The Gophers are ranked 20 KenPom spots higher than any team that Michigan has faced this season and should present the most difficult test yet for the undefeated Wolverines.
