After a weekend off, Michigan hosts Wisconsin tonight (7 p.m., ESPN) for the first top-10 matchup at the Crisler Center since February 2019.
Wisconsin has only played one road game in conference (an 85-76 win in East Lansing) and dropped a non-conference game at Marquette. Like Michigan, they’ve picked up their fair share of good wins (Rhode Island, Loyola, Louisville, Minnesota, and Indiana) but don’t have any elite wins on their resume up to this point.
At 10-2 and ranked 5th overall by KenPom, the Badgers have largely lived up to their preseason billing. This team was picked to finish third in the league due to its experience and it has looked that part other than a second-half collapse against Maryland. Wisconsin hasn’t put together a dominant stretch of basketball comparable to its season-ending eight-game streak last year, but its solid-every-time-out approach to the season has done the job.
