2020-21 Season

Game 17: Michigan at Ohio State Preview

Michigan and Ohio State face off on Sunday afternoon in what sets up to be the college basketball game of the year. It is a top-five matchup of rivals slotted nicely in a national CBS slot on Sunday afternoon (1 p.m.). With March around the corner and the world turning its attention to college basketball, the Wolverines and Buckeyes will take center stage.

It isn’t a normal college basketball season and the stands will be mostly empty, other than a few parents, but this is the type of game that makes Big Ten basketball special. It will set the tone for the title race and give the winner a stranglehold on a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Michigan and Ohio State opened the season on the fringe of the top-25 and now are in the discussion to be considered the best team in the country with a loss. The Buckeyes have won seven in a row and 10 of their last 11 and the Wolverines have only lost once this season.
