Michigan offers four-star guard Seth Trimble

Michigan extended a scholarship offer to four-star point guard Seth Trimble today.

Trimble is ranked 78th nationally, per 247 Sports Composite, but has been one of the fastest rising prospects in the Midwest this spring. Trimble has added offers from Wisconsin, Creighton, Illinois, Iowa and Indiana among others in the last two months.

The 6-foot-2 guard is known for his burst and athleticism but he’s also a capable scorer who can stretch the floor beyond 3-point range. Trimble’s offer shakes up Michigan’s point guard board that had largely settled on four-star guard Dug McDaniel. McDaniel had set an early official visit to Michigan in June, but speculation has linked him more heavily to Florida.

Trimble has spoken highly of Michigan in the past.

“I’ve always been a Tar Heel fan so that would be nice but the top school I’d want to hear from is Michigan,” Trimble said last summer. “I just always loved their playing style and coach Juwan Howard.”
