Michigan extended a scholarship offer to four-star big man Dereck Lively II today.
Lively is ranked 36th nationally, per 247 Sports Composite. He is being recruited by a host of schools including Duke, North Carolina, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State. Kentucky and Duke have yet to offer.
“Michigan has Juwan Howard,” Lively said recently of the Wolverines. “He’s a great coach and he knows what to do with bigs. I think I can trust him.”
Lively is known as an elite rim protector and is listed at 7-foot-1, 220-pounds. He plays for Team Final on the Nike EYBL circuit alongside other Michigan targets Jalen Duren and Justice Williams.
