Five takeaways from Michigan’s win over Buffalo

Michigan knocked off Buffalo in its season-opener on Wednesday night in an entertaining 88-76 track meet. The Wolverines flashed their potential, learned some lessons and had a few surprises in a tricky first test of the season.

1. DeVante’ Jones foul trouble exacerbates depth issues

DeVante’ Jones fouled out of his first game in a Michigan uniform and only played 18 minutes. After two quick fouls, he sat for the final 12:35 of the first half and then picked up his third foul two minutes into the second half.
