Michigan hosts Purdue Fort Wayne tonight for its final tune-up of the 2021-22 season. The Mastodons are the worst team that the Wolverines will face this season, per KenPom, and enter tonight’s contest at 5-5 despite playing only one top-100 team (a 78-49 loss at Minnesota).
The Wolverines head into Christmas with more questions than answers, but a final buy game is an opportunity to build positive momentum and team chemistry before a crucial two-game stretch on the road at UCF and Rutgers that will set the tone for conference play before a trio of games against top-15 foes.
