Five thoughts on where Michigan stands entering a pivotal week

Sitting at .500, Michigan’s season is inching closer and closer to now or never time. The Wolverines have only played 4 out of 20 Big Ten games, so there are plenty of opportunities ahead of them, but at some point they need to prove that they are the team they purport to be.

The Wolverines host Maryland on Tuesday night before games at Indiana and home against Northwestern. For a team that desperately needs to string together wins, this feels like a make-or-break stretch. Three wins could flip the script on the season, while a losing record over the next three games could make it tough to construct a path to the NCAA Tournament.
