2021-22 Season

Five takeaways from Juwan Howard’s five-game suspension

After over 24 hours, the Big Ten finally announced discipline from the postgame incident at the Kohl Center on Sunday afternoon. Juwan Howard is suspended for the remainder of the regular season, while Moussa Diabate and Terrance Williams both received one-game suspensions for their roles.

Michigan’s statement also notes that “prior to reinstatement, all parties will meet to make a final decision prior to the Big Ten Tournament and any postseason participation.”

Wisconsin’s Jahcobi Neath is the only person from the Wisconsin program to receive a suspension (1 game for throwing a punch along with Williams and Diabate).

Here are five takeaways from the news and a look at what it means moving forward for a Michigan season on the brink.
