As we enter the final week of the regular season, it feels like Michigan has seen it all, yet somehow there’s still more drama on the horizon. The Wolverines need to win two more games to punch a ticket to the NCAA Tournament, and Michigan State sits in their way for a rescheduled home game (8:30 p.m., FS1) on Tuesday night.
The “must-win” designation is overused far too early and too often in college basketball, but things are trending toward last call, and the math starts to be a lot more complicated for the Wolverines if they can’t knock off their rivals at home.
The Spartans dominated the Wolverines in the last meeting in East Lansing, but Michigan has been better at home and has been playing better basketball overall since that first meeting. Michigan State has lost 5 of 7 but beat Purdue in an emotional home win on Saturday afternoon to right the ship.
