Michigan earns No. 11 seed, will face Colorado State in opening round

Michigan is a No. 11 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will play Colorado State in the first round in Indianapolis.

Michigan will play its first game on Thursday but time and television information have not yet been announced.

If Michigan advances, it would play the winner of No. 3 Tennessee and No. 14 Longwood. The Wolverines will be fighting to advance to the South regional semifinals and finals in San Antonio, Texas.

This will be Juwan Howard’s second NCAA Tournament appearance as a head coach and Michigan’s sixth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Howard went 3-1 in his first NCAA Tournament appearance last year, as Michigan fell 51-49 to UCLA in the Elite Eight.

    Well it wasn’t a perfect season but it looks like we did the bare minimum to both make the tourney and to avoid the play in. Time to take this last opportunity and do something special with it.

    They don’t have anyone to stop Hunter. I believe they usually play their burley 6’8” PF at center.
