We’ll spend the entire week previewing Colorado State, but no one knows a team better than the beat writer who covers that team every day. I reached out to Justin Michael from DNVR Sports to answer a few questions about Colorado State, their personnel and season up to this point in an attempt to set the stage for Thursday’s NCAA Tournament opening game.

How did Colorado State get here? What does making the NCAA Tournament mean for the program?
This NCAA Tournament appearance has been four years in the making. Niko Medved came in and transformed the program with his first two recruiting classes, signing six players in total, all of which are still on the roster. After being the second team left out of the field in 2021, Colorado State made it a priority to schedule up this season and leave no doubt in the minds of the selection committee. Clearly that was a wise decision as the Rams were able to snag a 6-seed.
