DeVante’ Jones in concussion protocol, did not travel to Indianapolis

Michigan point guard DeVante’ Jones did not travel to Indianapolis because he is in concussion protocol. The hope is that the graduate transfer can be available for the round of 32 if Michigan advances.

Jones was emotional on Selection Sunday about the opportunity to participate in the NCAA Tournament for the first time and now runs the risk of missing the experience entirely.

More on Colorado State:

Juwan Howard and Michigan players are expected to address the media this morning in Indianapolis before an open practice. They tip off the NCAA Tournament at 12:15 p.m. Thursday on CBS.

Official… I wasn’t aware that traveling violated concussion protocol

I know that Kyle Young hasn’t been on the bench recently with Ohio State so I think there are different elements about limiting exposure, etc.

Did this happen with the elbow to the back of the head in the last game? The one that they brushed off as incidental contact.

I assume not, because that was the Ohio State game which was something like 2 weeks ago at this point right?
