Lebanese forward Youssef Khayat announced his commitment to Michigan today.
Khayat is a 6-foot-8 forward who has played with Limoges CSP’s youth setup for the past four seasons. His journey from Lebanon to France began in 2018 when he impressed a Limoges scout at a youth camp. From there, he’s grown into a fixture on the developmental team and even earned a spot with the Lebanese senior national team during World Cup qualifying.
After a breakout year on the French U21 circuit, Khayat made the decision to continue his career at the college level. He eventually picked Michigan over interest from a handful of other high majors including fellow finalists Xavier, Wake Forest and DePaul.
