Youssef Khayat has helped Lebanon to five straight victories in FIBA international play since his commitment to Michigan. Lebanon knocked off Jordan and Saudi Arabia in World Cup Qualifying, securing its place in the next stage, and now has advanced to the FIBA Asia Cup quarterfinals after a 3-0 start to win their group.
Khayat and Lebanon will face China on Wednesday in the quarterfinal. Khayat had his best game of the tournament on Sunday, racking up 15 points on 6-of-11 (2-of-5 3-point) shooting in 26 minutes.
