2022-23 Season

Form Tracker: November 14th, 2022

It’s been almost a decade, but we’re turning something old into something new. In the distant past (around 2014), we ran a weekly feature called Form Tracker with player ratings on a 1 through 10 scale. The idea was to sort through the ebbs and flows of the college basketball season and track how players progress and develop.

The intention is to have a way to illustrate when DeVante’ Jones turns his game around late in the season, or compare and contrast Hunter Dickinson’s poor showings in November to his dominance in March. The rules are entirely arbitrary and are subject to change as we go.

Only players who see the floor for 10-plus minutes will receive a rating. The ratings are set on some inexact measurement of expectation, performance, role, importance (or anything else deemed important). As readers, your job is to provide balance by voting on whether my score is too high, too low, or sounds about right.

To spice things up, we’re adding weekly highlights of each player to look back at their performance over the last week and help you vote.
